Net Zero.

Aveda purchases carbon offsets from NativeEnergy to balance the climate impact of our aerosol hairsprays, which are made by a third party supplier—not just for their manufacture, but also for the carbon emissions from transportation and use of these products as well.

Power of the Sun.

Aveda has pioneered the use of renewable energy since 2006, when they became the first beauty company to manufacture using 100% wind power (through the purchase of energy credits). Now, their new 2,900-panel solar array will power up to 50% of the manufacturing facility’s annual demand for energy, with the remainder powered by wind.
